Brandrill, a WA company which provided drilling services to the mining industry, became insolvent after investing too heavily in research and development and in a new division in South Africa.
The business was $53 million in debt when Ferrier Hodgson’s Mr Jones was called in to restructure it.
“I was able to secure a fresh senior debt facility, close out the South African exposure, and introduce new equity to the company,” he said.
Brandrill was able to re-list on the Australian Stock Exchange and has since tripled its turnover.
