And whilst 3D may still be around in some form it may not reach the revenue targets predicted by Handy, especially if there is a viable alternative with comparative price / performance metrics available.
What do we reckon the chances are that 4DS,s little chip could step in to the breach and fill the gap left by 3D...?? Be a nice little earn and a great way to determine npv for establishing a sale pricing point now wouldnt it?
Plus the ramp up issue with a new product, that often means a few years of loses until established has basically been borne by 3D, assuming 4DS plugs in everywhere 3D would have?
Only it,s manufactured on a standard bench with superior density and speed to burn...
Handy little combo which means that, in the words of John Williamsons 'old man emu' song, when comparing performance specs against Optane and in turn convincing your standard purchasing officer that the new model is a benefit to him and comes at no extra charge.
