Yes the Government can lose it's AAA rating and there have already been murmurs around about this happening.. If the budget estimates/forecasts prove to be overly optimistic, it will lose it and then you will see the S**T hit the economic fan..
You are also right in saying that a deal will be made.. Telstra will give a little, in the way of some form of seperation, but will gain much, much more..
It is only a matter of time before the gravy train leaves the station and I am already on board..
