I have sat back and have been reading all feedback on this forum r/e GMG. What I found to be most amusing are the doomsdayers who are talking of a repeat in Australia of vast property writedowns up to the tune of 35% as per the case in the UK.

All i will say is that I have invested in both residential and commercial property over the years and one thing is certain is that they appreciate over time. Yes their will be periods of uncertainty and this is one of those moments, however the fundamentals of GMG are sound due to the fact that this company owns quality assets in prime markets across Australia. I have been adding to my holdings in GMG and will continue to do so along with GPT Group.

In 2-3 years time when the market will have shown a vast improvement in property values these SP will be on the UP. At what levels I am not sure however I am sure that these shares will pay for another property purchase. A holiday home down the Mornington Peninsula!

To all holders of GMG stay calm, it is definately a rough ride at the moment, however the fundamentals are their, and as has always been the case property valuations will stabilise and then increase on an annual basis.

    Thanks
    Matt
