How does solar/wind turn bio-waste methane into H2 & graphite ?

I am sure solar/wind H2 has its place & some will do well but the competition is hot e.g. FMG - price running approx $2.30/Kg/$2.60/Kg hoping to get to $2/Kg, is expensive vs using a bio-waste gas, H2 & graphite (probably with some 'sexy' graphite/graphene niche tech in time), no proven production price till CDP figures are in, but hard to imagine H2 will not out compete $2/Kg - guess we have to wait & see.
