Incoming NASA SBIR proposal awards, page-215

Need to consider the following:

1. Vorago received Phase 1 approval from NASA and $US123,000 to propose a design for AKD1000 hardened for the extremes of space flight using Vorago’s patented Hardsil process.

2. If you check Blueants post from last night Vorago have completed Phase 1 and have submitted a Phase 2 application to NASA for funding to proceed and make the Hardsil AKD1000 chip which they describe as a CNNRNN chip. The result of this application will be made known by NASA in May, 2021.

3. NASA approached Brainchip in the last quarter 2020 and applied to Brainchip to become an EAP customer for the AKD1000 engineering sample and Board. Then in accordance with the USA’s anti corruption acquisition rules opened a sole source tender giving other companies and individuals the opportunity to supply the AKD1000 engineering samples and Board to NASA cheaper than Brainchip. There were of course no other tenders and Brainchip won (you have to love beuracracy) and NASA issued the contract and it was announced by Brainchip on 23.12.20 via the ASX and shortly after NASA paid Brainchip $50,000 and Brainchip supplied the AKD1000 engineering samples and Board to NASA/Ames Research & Development Centre.

4. This is not a Phase 1,2 or 3 NASA is an EAP customer.

So knowing the above today’s announcement or release by NASA of new Phase 1 applications has nothing to do with Brainchip. Brainchip has never in any document or presentation ever mentioned today’s date. Posters here on HC are the only ones who have mentioned today’s date.

Of those who have mentioned today’s date only a handful understand it’s possible significance and they will be looking at all the various applications to see if any could give a clue as to another company connected to Brainchip using AKIDA technology. This is highly speculative research it may produce nothing.

By the way NASA on its own initiative coming to Brainchip and paying to become an EAP is a much bigger deal than the Brainchip trying to win a spot under Phase 1 because having a sole source provider contract it means NASA will work out its own use cases for AKD1000 and buy them from Brainchip without all the rubbish and applications involved in the Phase 1,2,3 process.
