People make ratings for 2 reasons. Firstly, there are real ratings when an app doesn't have any social capital.
When the app becomes mainstream, well liked, people will make 5 star ratings to indicate their solidarity with the brand. Any high rated app is a high social capital app, not an honestly reviewed app.
3.8 is a good rating for an app with zero social capital. Thats an *honest review*.
