”The difference of positions between the PSOE of Cáceres and the regional one with respect to the Valdeflores lithium mine has been evident this Thursday in the Extremadura Assembly. The socialist group has voted against a motion to reject the mining project presented by United by Extremadura, which was essentially the same as the one approved on February 18 by the Cáceres City Council with the support of all parties except Citizens."The Board has no opinion or position, it only complies with and enforces the laws," said the Socialist deputy Carlos Labrador, in charge of defending the position of his group in the plenary session of the Assembly. The mayor of Cáceres, Luis Salaya, had publicly asked a few hours before both his own party, the PSOE, and United for Extremadura, to agree so that the motion to reject the mine went ahead”
