Just because I am not a trader it does not mean I don't observe trading behaviour. I'm not so arrogant to say that I have not learned a heck of a lot even from this thread in the last 12 or so months.

Even when I make a long term entry into a stock I never buy before 10:30am. Trading between 10 and 10:30am (when I say trading I mean making a purchase on the ASX of any kind) carries the previous day's hype and also "disease transmission" from the Dow Jones' performance in the preceding evening.

Therefore making an entry at this time is usually unwise. So if that's the case for me it would probably be even more unwise for a trader. Unless that trader is exiting not entering before 10:30am.

If they haven't already, traders buying and selling CER need to realise what the Dow Jones actually is. In this climate CER is very poorly correlated to the Dow Jones Index. This is just a fact and any statistician would confirm this at present.

Also I am skeptical of teh Dow at the best of times. All the Dow Jones Index is, is the 30 companies that the Dow Jones Company reporters wish to report on. That's it!

There are some very very important companies that are not in the Dow Jones Index.

Anyway....I'm ranting as usual.
