Would not surprise me at all, but i have seen plenty of headlines come through on reuters so maybe it is just that positive sentiment flowing through.
My issue is wether michelmore wants the MM to go ahead for his own interests or for shareholders, ie if there was an offer out there which would destroy his chance of a job but looked after shareholders then maybe he can influence OZL to still go the MM route.
I think it was barrick gold that made a part bid, so would it be out of the realms of possibility know to a part deal with the likes of barrick in conjunction with a capital raising and we could keep most of the assets. Having said that i do believe that OZL with PH, TOE and some exploration without debt and existing management will go very well over the medium term, hopefully minimising some of the loses for long term holders
The other rumour i heard is re the knew CEO, that it might be x BHP which the market would also like.
