That's a good point, SF, but the future is already here. In fact, the future was back in 1977 according to one of my trip logs (amazed that I still have it) when I was an intrepid young adventurer. In Melbourne I was paying $8 for 40 liters, but anywhere in BF (eg: Roper River, Boraloola, Alice Springs, Coen etc) I was paying up to $14 for the same 40 liters. All, if not most, of BF now has cheap solar power or mains to charge an EV - albeit from a household plug at a fraction of the cost. Have you seen the remote charging stations (solar/battery combo) Jeep has started to install in America's BF areas? The future is so close I can almost smell it, and its not the stench of fossil fuels; and nowhere near the cost.
