ahhh I had to go back further to the initial posts.
read the documents, and find that yes during the construction phase they need to dewater the pits while they build it.

Then in the operational phase they dont have the expectation of releasing water.

It was stated that mining could make such discharges... yet when I googled treating such water. I found research by CSIRO on how to deal with water ming sites wanted to discharge if it was too contaminated.

So what I need now is the evidence that this water is too contaminated and needs treatment before discharge.

because if it is too contaminated. then this technology
    https://www.csiro.au/en/research/natural-environment/water/virtual-curtain

    could turn it into this,
"The technology, called Virtual Curtain, was used to remove metal contaminants from wastewater at a Queensland mine and the equivalent of around 20 Olympic swimming pools of rainwater-quality water was safely discharged."
