Just to be very very clear. I wasn't having a go at anyone especially you T.E.P as your insight is invaluable.
I was just stating that during my time in the software industry traveling around Australia as a consultant for many years I've seen some pretty left field decisions made by companies. Granted nothing like the size of GM but there have been multiple $2-5M Software Deals over my length of service with long term contracts and licensing agreements completely fall through regardless of how their 'relationship' was with the vendor sometimes the product no longer is a fit for a business or may of taken a completely different approach to how they handle their future on-goings.
That all said, everyone's thoughts are their own. Nothing is 100% until it is.
