Yes I agree exactly with what you are saying. "Expected Value" is not a valuation, it's a mathematical/statistical expectation. It does highlight how much out of whack the current price is with a return, based on probability of success of the P3 trial, and the likely value if that is successful.
With this sort of company I find it a much easier way to assess the investment. Maybe I didn't make this clear enough.
