Bottom line - the NT's HAVE a price - they agreed to a PRICE back in 08.
Markets were improving then - the DOW was near 14,000's, the ASX in the 6000's....it was all going so well - who could blame the NT's wanting a little more??
Poor timing on the NT's behalf - the world markets crumbled.
Ruane held firm - possibly too firm - and not only rejected their demands, he outright pulled the initial deal.
This to me says both parties will have to give a little to gain a lot.
The good news is that at one time both parties agreed to something - no reason they can't again.
