Though the placement secures funding it in no way favors long term holders over short term speculators at all. It is contrary to the stated objective of raising money from institutions (probably because they can't) and in part is designed to aid the BON takeover.
The BMN SPP is an example of how to reward current holders.
The funding is great (if it gets the project going) but the how could Ribbons or Drummond have drafted that announcement and really think that they were rewarding their long term shareholders.
