I think I would prefer a share split. Share splits should be done when there is confidence in the future of the company, and would leave capital for better allocation (where it is needed). I personally hate when a company spends valuable cash buying back shares only to help pump the share price. Furthermore, $1M would only be a maximum of 20 million shares. Because there are over a billion shares available, this would make little benefit, it would need to be a buyback of significantly larger value to have affect.
