I bought shares when they were ABJ because I liked their UCO business, Scanline. It's a profitable business in its own right and I'll be curious to see how it does over the next 12-18 months.
However, the renewable energy side of things seems to be developing well but the detail is still quite vague from the company's announcements. We don't get too much information about margins and overheads but one would assume they would be signing contracts to make a profit.
What we do know is this:
- Casa Grande renewable energy processing plant to bring in US$7.6 million in revenue in fiscal 2010
- 3 renewable UPS contracts signed since March, including stated revenue in 1 contract of AUD$3.7 million (fiscal 09) and AUD$3.9 million (fiscal 10). No idea what the revenues are for the other contracts but they could be included in the expected revenue of Casa Grande?
- 100% purchase of Aristos International in order to provide UPS renewable energy to customers and provide branding
- Scanline forecast EBITDA of AUD$1.3 million in FY09
Lets hope they can manage their overheads.
