good one catlover we can both be a teacher to each other i know what you mean about getting a fix have read/listened to several "teachers" on the computer and felt slightly high, then after a while the buzz naturally wears off. if one actually puts into practice what they say, then there will be less desire to secure a fix. here was something i saw when attachment to xtianity fell away. some folks have turned jc (if he existed), (with the help of the church and a doctored bible) into an idol. most miss the point, he supposedly told folks what to do to be free, but they don't want to do it, so he is turned into an almighty god in their minds, and they say the sinners prayer, and they foolishly (no offence intended) believe that are saved and go to heaven for ever when they die. This belief is dangerous, because i don't think that jesus or the buddha is going to wipe anyones butt; all they do is show them where the toilet paper is. their own state of mind is neglected and it becomes a den for various demons (term used loosely). i recently was talking to someone that i regarded as resonably sane, then they just flipped out and started talking all this weird stuff, it was like they had partially lost their mind and something else took hold of the controls. That was the first time i had ever seen anything like that, from someone that was not taking mind altering substances. also i was trying to remember the name of a sect of people that the templars were said to have wiped out it eventually came to me i think your nik helped, catlover they were called cathars.
hey bowral, i'm up to number 7 at the moment it confirms my suspicions that this realm is manufactured by the lord of illusion, and that nearly everyone on this planet is subject to it in some way. am a bit suspicious (by the usage of the bible quotes, in the vid), that xrev is going to do a push for folks to worship his god (whatever that may be). also i can remember reading a text, written by the dali lama that when he looked into a mandala, the (or a) devil (or demon) was seen at the centre. to me, this doesn't mean that tibetan buddhists worship (it/them); rather that they are acknowledging that that is the way it is.
also, in line with that vid, the building blocks of organic chemistry (life on this planet) is based upon the carbon atom. how many protons, electrons, and neutrons? one person said to me, the body is the prison, but it is also the key.
"Cathars followed a rigorous interpretation of the gospels, with the most pious of the believers, called "Perfects", taking vows of poverty and celibacy and refusing to eat meat. It was their belief in dualism, however, that outraged the Church: according to the cathars, Satan had created the material world, with its pestilence, violence and hate, not God. Paradise could be gained after death only by rejecting worldly attachments during one's life."
