You forgot to mention who is doing these attacks. And I do think those attacks are despicable. From what I have seen in Australia, and America when I worked there for several years, and Asia itself where I also worked for up to three years each (japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines).
I have read some stats which say - roughly, since it has been a few days since I saw the numbers - 80% of the reported and investigated attacks against Asians in America - have been by Afro-Americans. Not a surprise when compared to the amount of crime that particular 'minority' inflicts on America and every other country blessed by their import. There was 20% of attacks left. Half of the remaining 20% of attacks, were by Hispanics. Shamefully, 10% of the total despicable attacks were done by real Americans. And attacks against Pacific Islanders? LOL, it is just the left trying to pump up numbers. There are none that I could find as verified recent hate attacks. Let's be blunt, the targets of these attacks were Chinese. The sad fact is that most American, or Australians, or anyone else - could not tell a Chinese from a Thai, Filipino, or Korean. They are angry for sure, but not smart enough to know the difference. And that said Chinese migrants who have been loyal, not wumao, done nothing against Australia (or America in their case), and who have lived good lives here with integrity and dignity. They should not be harassed or assaulted. I have lived with many Chinese in my life around the globe. Mostly good people, no real issues, they are usually an important part of their communities. And then came Xi.
