Hi Dex, If I had to choose preference for a country it would not be the unfriendly ones I think you are referring to that use brutal tactics including suppression of their own people. To me a Western democracy with some people engaging in woke activity is a far more preferable option albeit at times some may consider the woke issue to be a frivolous one. The term woke evolved through a movement aimed at preventing racism. The awakening of the people to prevent discrimination and persecution. Now some people whether for commercial or other reasons might want to take it further and make changes to their brand or name of a place in the belief they are removing some offence. Well, they are entitled to do that within the law. If their marketing strategy fails they have to wear it. To compare wokness to the fall of the Roman Empire is a stretch imo.
