drillers only drill as far as the geo tells them in the predefined drill plan. Even if the drillers have seen visible gold which they would have its not up to them to decide to keep drilling. They get paid by the metre and not for rig relocations. They'd have been happy to sit there and drill for another 100mtrs but that's not what was agreed on
