If you look closely at the geological data from Theresa you will note that only a small portion is potentially economically mined using traditional open cut mining. Many of the JORC tonns Linc have stated have too high a strip ratio for this type of mining (Some may say all at the current Coal prices). Without a full economical analysis the assumption must be made that to accurately value Theresa you must also include the value added from either underground longwall mining or UCG. So I believe that the Chinese (or other party) would be looking at UCG on Theresa. As to why Linc would not keep it for themselves if it is applicable for UCG, well they have much much better tenaments to play with (SAPEX in SA) and are desperately in need of Cash.
