A few comments from me about that article (which I will be re-posting elsewhere if/when everybody's favourite Blockhead gets hold of it)
- multiple references to 'Reddit' pushing the stock up since June 2020, yet no reference to 2x key capital raises in the same period - tells you the tone of the article: clickbait - compares the stock to GameStop, which is a very different situation (retail investors actively trying to do a short squeeze) - how is this even relevant? - assumes the company is a BNPL player only - honestly, how much research has been done here? - makes a sweeping prediction backed up by "analysts", yet quotes one bloke from an "online brokerage" - where are the others she interviewed for this in-depth piece?
As I've said elsewhere, I think I'll contact the journo in 6 months time (and possibly Carl), to ask a few questions about the level of research that goes into their articles/predictions.
As Kev suggests, if nothing else, it does keep IOU in the news, so anyone with a brain can actually research it for themselves. As in, research it.
