I had a couple of thoughts about your car and the Leaf I photographed here the other day -- which was 2017 and about?? 13 or 14,000 Euro from memory
At the same time - yesterday I saw a new Fiat 500 EV and looked at what they calculated as the running costs over 5 years ------
a thought came to mind -----------
these current EV's we are buying or able to buy ---------- I was thinking that current owners might be putting themselves in the box seat for years atm -
why?
because it's only time before governments bring in charges to replace fuel tax -
and, there might be a chance that they will bring in the charges from such and such a date -----------------
which might leave current owners with cars that are basically FREE to run - just basic rego and insurance charges and zip else
assuming that one charges up from home generated power - or - as I can see - in a carport that's off grid - with panels on the roof - merely there to power the EV
anyway - it was just a thought - but, we'd had precedence with that kind of bringing in new rules - so, I think there's a more than reasonable chance.
which would make buying a low kilometre recent EV very very very good value
