rexsh - sure, nobody around here "knows" anything. But you have to admit - the available evidence is not supportive. If you disagree, I would be happy to stand on the other side of the bet that you suggest.
The bet is not whether PLT lodges a Bidder's Statement - by law they have to unless ASIC gives them a waiver as they have announced the deal. The Bet is whether PLT & FER form a merged entity within the next three months.
