Interest rates. LCK quotes 6% on slide 7 of the PFS. That is the best information currently available. Are you saying it is incorrect?
Trucking rates : From an information sheet from BITRE , interstate trucking rates have been steady at 8c tonne/km for some years.
8c X 520km = $41.60 tonne.
I cross checked this outcome against one of the many truck cost calculators available online. The result was the same, within 5%. LCK-ADL isn't interstate, but that is neither here nor there. The distance is far enough to be equivalent. I gave the benefit of the doubt and did the calculation for a one way journey. Hopefully, there is loading available in the other direction or you'll need to nearly double that rate if the truck goes back empty.
Look, it doesn't matter who pays the freight cost. The point is to estimate your urea price delivered to a major centre, just for comparison. LCK's realistic urea price becomes close to that of imported urea when some of these other costs are added in.
Have you ever wondered how Gibson Island survives now? Somehow it keeps on producing even in the face of imported fertilizer that is essentially priced the same as LCK's might be. You say Gibson Island will have no gas after 2022. I say it has a gas contract until the end of 2022. They have several options beyond that. A new gas contract or using their own Range gas are two. There is also the Phosphate Hill plant feeding into the supply chain. One thing that won't be a problem come December 2022 is LCK as a urea producer.
