"....lamenting our National debt...." Well the debt levels are hardly a sign of success or a competent government. Obviously slogans and you waving pom poms couldn't keep the debt from tripling. Maybe you didn't wave your pom poms hard enough.

Abbott inherits $273b of debt, (of which $59b was inherited from the Libs and $214b was added under the Labs over 6 years). Debt tripled under the Libs to $819b.
The Libs had lost the debt plot prior to Covid-19, Covid-19 is just an excuse to conceal their incompetence.
