i have been watching a sting of videos on battery tech on youtube, and a player that keeps coming up is QuantumScape.

These guys have a $300m (USD) backing from VW to make a solid state battery.

QuantamScape appear to be 3 years away from having their batteries in an EV according to some articles i have seen, and they are already listed on the US stock exchange.
