As you said above, EVs will gradually filter into our country as popularity demands. After the Lib Govt election loss (whenever that will be) another Govt will remove the obstructions from the clean energy transition and Aus will move forward again.

The current Govt could do much to enable this and become a Govt that lasts more terms if they allowed themselves to question, and even to doubt, the correctness of their ideological-based decisions.

My guess is they couldn't possibly admit such doubt.

It looks to me that Hydrogen will be powering most things that are diesel now and lighter vehicles EV.
