    One (of many problems) with your calculation is that the Republic of Congo does not have $8 Billion. Not even close.

    Also that level of claim award is highly unlikely. And even if it was delivered it would never and could never actually be paid.

    What actually happens (in the best possible circumstances which is your assumption of almost total success in litigation) is that the note holders end up settling for prob 50c in the dollar on the debt (a magnificent outcome given they have all written off their debts as a total loss some time ago!) and the litigation funder make a small profit. In every possible realistic circumstancial outcome shareholders will never see a dime.

    nice to play around with numbers but, as has been the case for more than 5 years, any shareholding in SDL is totallly worthless.

    you will find that that ATO has no argument with any shareholder who claims to total loss of their investment. That should be enough certainty for you: you are never seeing any of your money ever again.
