When you look at any chart on stocks like VPG you can see where the shareprice was i.e. $2.20 in November 07.
This tells me that this stock is way way down to what it was and that even if it eventually moves back to even 1/2 what it was, the potential for great gain is there.
So to answer the question, 'when to sell' I find that the best thing to do is to divide your holding into two. You trade half on the high and buy on the low. Meantime, your other half remains untouched.
I have found this the best way of trading because my track record is such that as soon as I would sell, the price would suddenly go up. If you are still 'holding'you are still in the game.
This way you are sure to still have a reasonable parcel of shares when VPG becomes a ten bagger.
