I think the market pricing has been telling us something. Today's SP has not moved differently from the POG and other goldies today. Probably the earlier drop in SP was more than just the drop in the POG but even so, it was following other goldies down at the time. Athough the Tropicana purchase is now a given (based on the AFR article) I do not expect any significant reaction when the formal announcement is made, apart from any impact from the terms of any forthcoming debt and equity raising.
