Sometimes the data on shorts is incorrect and if so is usually corrected in next day's data. Let's wait and see. Trying to push SP down from 26 was a dangerous ploy given the huge buying seen around this level in recent times. With the huge volumes in recent days maybe the ploy did not work and shorters choked and bought back.
