While I can't answer if the ASX generally is getting ahead of itself given how retail investors may be continuing to pile in as they abandon shockingly low term deposit rates of say 0.3 per cent, APE has risen to around $15.00.
It's far from the only metric that Keith Thornton and his fellow executives and staff concentrate on, but still an achievement.
What nabtrade tells me is a 52-week 264.65 per cent rise in the share price is incredible, but it reflects the previous poor market for new cars that only reversed (i.e. became pleasingly better) around November 2020, and has thankfully continued a broad upward trend since then. APE's good management of the dreadful coronavirus situation has also been a standout, and JobKeeper helped as the company has acknowledged.
It's great that APE shareholder briefings are extensive and that the company makes every effort to comprehensively answer questions from analysts.
This breeds respect.
APE is somewhat volatile on a day-to-day basis but I'm not a seller.
