I like the idea of the warm-up announcement before dropping the big ones.
I've seen other listed companies do this to...
- clean out the pip-traders
- attract interest so more people understand the stock and are paying attention when the bigger announcements drop
- Sometimes it's good to catch the day traders when they've just sold out and watch them slash their wrists or break an ankle trying to chase the train as its leaving the station.
