CEO Appointment / Directorate Changes
Melbourne, 4 June 2009
Medic Vision (ASX/AIM: MVH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Vincenzo (“Vince”) Leone
as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and President of the Company with immediate effect.
Ross Horley, previously Managing Director, will remain an Executive Director and Frank Cannavo,
previously an Executive Director, will become a Non-Executive Director, also with immediate effect.
Mr Leone will be responsible for all operational activities of Medic Vision and its subsidiaries (together
referred to as the “Group”). His key focus will be to deliver strong sales growth and to indentify cost
saving synergies across the Group. Mr Leone will report directly to the Board of Directors.
Mr Leone has 22 years business experience in a range of senior management positions covering
sales, marketing and operations with a particular focus in professional services, training, information
technology and telecommunications.
Mr Leone’s experience and background compliments the achievements of Ross Horley in establishing
the Company, developing leading medical simulator technology and establishing relationships with
key medical organisations and hospital groups around the world.
Mr Leone, whose recent appointment as an Executive Director was announced on 20 May 2009, joins
the Company at a critical time, as it repositions itself for growth against a backdrop of a global
economic crisis. Notwithstanding this continuing global economic crisis, the Group sees strong
demand for its world class medical simulation systems and skill centres, which is driven by increased
spending in the health sector globally and higher professional and consumer expectations of
healthcare services and procedures.
Ratnarajah (“Thamby”) Navaratnam, Chairman of Medic Vision, commented:
“We are very pleased to have someone of Vince’s ability and professionalism appointed to this
position within the Company. He has delivered outstanding results for a number of Australian and
international organisations, and I am sure he will continue this success in his new role with Medic
Vision as we have re-structured the Group with Vince’s appointment as CEO in order to improve the
Group’s sales, marketing and other commercial matters. We strongly believe that Vince’s business
skills complement Ross Horley’s core competencies in the design and development of medical skill
centres and this will allow Ross to focus on delivering the Company’s strategy of establishing and
managing medical skill centres in India, the UK, China and elsewhere around the world. The Board
believes that Vince and Ross represent a formidable business partnership designed to deliver
enhanced shareholder value for the Group.”
