I think otherwise Baba. Shorters attack strong companies as well, the thing is they decide based on opportunity not necessarily on fundamentals. In extreme cases, they can actually cause the demise of a company in fact if they do, they don't have to buy back any shares, they just pocket the original sale proceeds despite the devastation they may cause to all teh stake holders. Even if that is an extreme view, it is price manipulation and if the ASX allows price manipulation then it should allow all sorts of manipulations. Furthermore if is a good practice then open it up to all investors not just the to the big boys\girls.
