Where did this expectation of an announcement upon commencing production actually come from?

My view is that they'll let us know ore is being processed via an operational update in the quarterly, but otherwise its probably not worthy of announcing the first tonne of ore that passes through the circuit. I don't really expect a rocket when that gets announced either.

It will take some time for them to optimise the plant. It isn't like you put ore through and it either goes 'ding' or 'bzzz' It's very much a game of economics, you can pass the ore through many times and achieve great results, but lose money. Time to optimise the plant will be built into the plans anyway so its not slippage - once that happens I'm guessing they will give some details on what kind of results we are getting / effectiveness of the ore sorter. Timing - I'm hopeful that it is this month. Again, no overnight rocket IMO but it will go a long way to de-risking the project and should see some steady increases off the back of this over the next few months.

All just my opinion - Justin is hyper aware of the SP and SH sentiment so he may do something different.
