If you do some research you will realise that the electric car will have no impact on platinum usage .
Even if 5-10% of cars are electric or hybrid by 2020 it is forecast that there will still be 50% more combustion engined cars by then .Hybrids use catalytic converters too .
My first thought when I looked into platinum companies ,was about electric cars taking market share ,and did get a pleasant surprise .I feel confident in platinums future .
There is not the supply of neodymium magnets to convert all cars to electric as well .
I think we are stuck with increasing platinum usage ,especially in the near term ..
