A major announcement is needed so that we can all see some justification for why M R believes his request to us for these options makes sense and should be approved.

A lot of what we believers have been saying on this thread is based on faith that M R has some good news up his sleeve, soon to be delivered to us and *before* the EGM.

Time will tell whether we were right to believe or not.

Surely at the EGM if nothing has changed, I don't believe that he can expect shareholders to approve it. Why would we.

It's crucial for shareholder confidence (not because we doubt him, but to validate why we have been believing) and for his reputation's sake.

My personal belief is that before shareholders approve this particular options arrangement, he should already be in a position to announcement something very positive and very concrete, rather than a vision of something that we may expect to happen sometime in the future.

So, I don't disagree with you ... +ve news is needed
