Morrison on the trail with Twiggy.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has vowed any move towards net zero emissions won’t kill off heavy industries and particularly the resources sector.
Speaking at a business breakfast in Karratha this morning Mr Morrison said more jobs would be created as a result of the move to a more green industry and there was a bright future ahead as heavy industry decarbonised.
“What I have to be able to do and we have to do is demonstrate how we can do that and ensure the heavy industries that exist in this country are part of the solution and that they are not just there in 2050 but they are stronger than they are today,” Mr Morrison said.
