Tarvold, A fuller breakdown of some of your countries. As of December 2020, renewable production generated 40.2% of total electricity produced in the UK ; around 6% of total UK energy usage. At least 12% of that was biomass which puts out more CO2 than coal and is premised as renewable as it may grow again in 40 years . In the meantime valuable forests like Romanian ones are being denuded for quick profit. Iceland are lucky to have hydro and geothermal and such a small population . No wind and of course no solar.Renewable energy provided almost 100% of electricity production, with about 73% coming from hydropower and 27% from geothermal power. Paraguay of course hydro as its renewables. And it goes on . Until batteries become much more energy dense and longer lasting wind and solar can`t cut it.

what about Norway, Denmark & Brazil? Australia is lucky to have very high levels of sun plus wind, hydro & tidal. You're just making excuses for Australia, there is absolutely no reason why Australia can't be 100% renewable by 2050. No new coal fired power stations will be built in Australia .
