So what science conflicts with my beliefs?

If you believe you become a spirit when you die you are accepting what most religions teach. However, both the Bible and science teach you become dust.
(Genesis 3:19) In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Jesus was different. He came from heaven and returned to heaven. In so doing he opened the way for some others to gain a resurrection to spirit life in heaven. This is limited to just 144,000 out of the billions that have ever lived. You and I will not be among them.
