South of Perth at the beginning of the 1900's at a town called Pinjarra, a whole tribe of aboriginals were wiped out by the colonial police because their presence conflicted with the business interests of the new British settlers. The British colonialists had a lot to be ashamed about. "Terra Nullis" was a just a convenient legal way of saying that the indigenous landowners had no human rights.
