    Bloody hell, it was just a bit of a discussion about why paying off your home loan from your profits may not be the best move. I used a 100k loan just to make the figures simple. It's clearly a hypothetical to demonstrate how that could work. The maths was fine as a point of comparison, I'm sure I was a little out here or there on the back of my envelope. And yes there are strategies you can use to push that even further like structuring the debt so interest costs are deductible or going interest only (negative gearing isn't great in an ultra low interest environment anyway)

    As I stated at the bottom of my original post it wasn't meant to be taken as licensed advice just a discussion of possibilities.
