Are you serious, I know the Australian Taxation System is a f*ing rip off but honestly?? How much tax do you think we pay? Even with a 1.1 million dollar profit (assuming that he held the shares for less than 1 year otherwise he gets a 50% discount) you would still only pay 44% (I think that's the largest tax bracket). He would have paid $484,000 tax, (worst case scenario) which still leaves $616,000 in the hand
