It was described as a "tirade" by ABC, the only non-NIMBY argument i read (he doesnt want be able to see pens from his retreat) is about the use of ethoxyquin, he argues that despite it being within limits set for the EU, there might be no safe limit. He is arguing salmon is unsafe based on a hypothetical.
The best link i have found so far is below (i think its a few years old), suggests that if a 70kg person person ate 1.75kg of salmon a day that had extremely high levels (in German standards) of EQ it would reach their acceptable daily intake.

I dont know if information has changed since then, or if Tassal uses it, if there are alternatives, or if its used in other food.
