Well it’s good to see that our smallish SMSF investment in this nicely run Cairns business is at last bouncing back a bit ... We’re now down just $7,700 or so on an overall investment of $70,000+ .... It got me thinking though about the size of the current board. Do we really need 8 directors? I personally think that in the 21st century companies can benefit, as well as save, by having fewer directors. A change in BOD members too is, IMO, a good idea. .. and to have board members with more of their own money invested. ... It might also be invigorating, and help offset the idea of RCT’s board perpetuating an old boys club. ...
Just my thoughts as we wait for the AGM, and for FNQ (and RCT) to recover post covid.. Or another Aquis to come along ! ..GLAH
