Is this commsec ? I don't like commsec for this reason - lets you spend money you don't have.
I advise you ring them and ..
(a) apologise profusely,
(b) let them know the money is coming.
if you do you might be able to talk your way out of some of the penalty.
if you don't, they will consider it a bad debt, and may take action accordingly.
You can get fast clearance on the cheque.
